Welcome Page Welcome to the John Rankin Federation and thank you for your interest in our two lovely schools: we are very proud to work in partnership together, to provide continuity; progression and challenge for our children. We hope that this will be the beginning of a happy association with our two schools, which formed a hard federation on 17th July 2010. This means that a single governing body is responsible for the strategic leadership of both schools: we look forward to embracing you into our partnership and working closely with you in the best interest of your child. John Rankin Infant and Nursery School opened in 1957 Our governing body is dedicated to ensuring that children are at the centre of all decision making. Whilst each school has its own unique character, together we are a united learning community. We are entering an exciting new phase in the federation’s history as each school expands to become three form entry. We are dedicated to providing a rich, relevant and meaningful education for our children in order to motivate and engage them to enjoy learning. We are proud of our two schools and encourage our children to take pride in their achievements. We provide a happy, safe, secure, stimulating and supportive learning environment in which every child is valued as a unique individual. We hope that your children will find their time with us exciting and enjoyable. We aim to develop the whole child, to enable our children to grow into fully rounded individuals who achieve their best, in all aspects of their development: cognitive; creative; physical; social and emotional and to strive for personal excellence in all they do. Please read the Prospectus for each school for more information and to see how we can work together for the benefit of your child. Then please telephone the school office to make an appointment to view the school: you cannot beat seeing our lovely schools for yourself! |
